The PAI team is comprised of 49 investment professionals representing nine different European nationalities. The Partners of the firm have been working at PAI for an average of 12 years.
The investment team is organised around the five Sector Teams as well as an Investment Group which assists in the due diligence and structuring of transactions and a Portfolio Performance Group which assists throughout the investment cycle in the optimisation of business performance in a number of portfolio companies.
The team is based principally in Paris, with offices in Copenhagen, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan and Munich working on deal origination and execution in these countries. This hub-and-spoke model ensures unparalleled access to transactions in PAI's core French market but also enables a pro-active approach to investment opportunities in the five core sectors across Europe.
Relations with our investors are managed by the five person Investor Team based in London and Paris. The Investor Team ensures investors are kept updated with all information regarding fund investments and coordinates fundraising efforts. The team also coordinates PAI’s frequent interactions with investors regarding opportunities to invest across the capital structure in PAI-led transactions.
Charles Bouaziz joined PAI in 2011. He is a member of the Food & Consumer Goods sector team and also heads the Portfolio Performance Group.
Prior to joining PAI, Charles held a number of senior positions during his 23 years in the Consumer Goods industry. He spent his early career at Michelin and Procter and Gamble before joining PepsiCo in 1991. Charles joined PepsiCo as Marketing Director of France & Belgium and in 1996 became General Manager for France where he successfully led the mergers with Frito Lay and Tropicana. In 2006, he became General Manager of a group of countries including France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. In 2008, Charles was appointed President of PepsiCo Western Europe. In 2010, he left PepsiCo and became CEO of Monoprix.
Charles graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC 1985). He speaks French (native), English (fluent) and Spanish (basic).« Back
