Meet the team
Isabelle Ehrmantraut
Talent Director
Isabelle joined PAI in 2021 as a member of the PAI Performance Group with a specific focus on talent, leadership, and culture.
She was previously with Spencer Stuart and brings more than eight years of experience in Leadership Advisory Services. Her focus is on executive assessment and development, team effectiveness, organisational design, and succession planning.
Isabelle is an occupational psychologist and holds a MA degree in Business Psychology from Cologne Business School and Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
Ralph Heuwing
Senior Adviser
Ralph joined PAI in 2020. He has been Head and then Chairman of DACH. He has been involved in the Apleona, Infra Group, Motel One and NovaTaste investments and has served as Head of the PAI Performance Group.
Ralph previously worked at Knorr-Bremse, a world leading supplier to the commercial and rail vehicle industry, where he was CFO and a member of the Executive Board. He led and executed the company’s IPO in 2018. Prior to this, Ralph was CFO and a member of the Executive Board at MDAX-listed Dürr, a leading global mechanical and plant engineering firm.
Ralph began his career at Boston Consulting Group, where he worked for 17 years. He served as a Managing Director, Partner and member of the Management Committee, holding various roles in Germany and building the firm’s operations in India.
Ralph holds an ME degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen and an MBA from INSEAD.
Andreas Holtschneider
Partner, Mid-Market Fund
Andreas joined PAI in 2024 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team. He has significant experience in the mid-market, particularly in Germany, and in the industrial, healthcare and business services sectors. He has been involved in the VITREA investment.
Previously, Andreas worked at Cathay Capital Private Equity, where he was a Partner covering the DACH region since 2015. Prior to this, Andreas was a Principal at Silverfleet Capital and an M&A adviser at Ferber & Co in Munich and ING Barings in London.
Andreas holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.
Vincent Kraemer
Investment Analyst, Mid-Market Fund
Vincent joined PAI in 2025 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
Prior to joining the MMF Team, he completed an internship at PAI in Munich and gained work experience at Triton Partners, Ardian, Deutsche Bank, and Bain & Company.
Vincent graduated from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and completed exchange programmes at EDHEC Business School in France and IE University in Spain.
Frederike Kress
ESG Officer
Frederike joined PAI in 2021 as a member of the ESG Team.
She was previously an intern at PAI within the ESG Team in Paris and Munich and has contributed to a number of projects for the firm.
Frederike holds a MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College London and a BSc in International Management from Lancaster University and ESB Business School Reutlingen.
Andreas Kumeth
Partner
Andreas joined PAI in 2014 and is Head of the Flagship Fund Team in DACH and the Nordics. He has been involved in several investments including Atos Medical, B&B Hotels, DomusVi, Theramex, Veonet, Xella and Zahneins.
He started his career in private equity at Apax Partners in Munich and London, and also worked at Waterland Private Equity in Düsseldorf.
Andreas graduated with a double degree from the Technical University of Munich (Mathematics) and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (Economics).
Chiara Rossmeissl
Investment Associate
Chiara joined PAI in 2024 as a member of the Investment Group. She has been involved in the Motel One investment.
She joined from Goldman Sachs in London where she worked for two years as an Analyst in the EMEA Healthcare Team.
Chiara holds a Master’s degree in Finance from HEC Paris and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.
Alexander Schober
Executive Director, Mid-Market Fund
Alexander joined PAI in 2021 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team. He has been involved in the European Pizza Group and VITREA investments.
He joined from Goldman Sachs in London, where he spent six years in the bank’s Private Equity division and was involved in numerous equity investment opportunities across a broad spectrum of industries.
Alexander graduated from the University of St. Gallen HSG in Switzerland and holds a MSc in International Finance from HEC.
