Meet the team
Thomas de Wailly
Fund Counsel
Thomas joined PAI in 2025 as Fund Counsel and is a member of the Corporate Operations Team.
He joined from Ardian, where he worked as a Senior Lawyer for more than two years. Prior to that, he spent seven years as an Associate in the Tax and Fund Structuring Department at Linklaters, including a six month secondment at Capza.
Thomas holds a Master’s degree from Paris Dauphine University and has been admitted to the bar in both New York and Paris.
Andrea Degioanni
Principal
Andrea joined PAI in 2025 as a member of the Italy Team.
He previously spent eight years at The Carlyle Group in Milan, where he focused on investments in the industrial and food sectors in Italy. During his time there, he contributed to the growth of the local team and most recently served as a Principal.
Andrea began his career in Investment Banking at UBS.
He holds a MSc in Finance from Bocconi University.
Alvaro Molina de Ena
Investment Director
Alvaro joined PAI in 2025 as a Director in the Investment Group. He is also part of the Spain Team.
He joined from EQT Partners, where he was a Vice President in London, covering growth & buyout investments in Technology across EMEA, with a focus in Spain.
Previously, Alvaro worked at Warburg Pincus for over three years, where he was involved in growth & buyout investments across several sectors, including Technology, Education and Consumer. Alvaro started his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in London.
Alvaro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), and also simultaneously pursued Bachelor’s degrees in both Politics and Economics through UNED.
Susannah Lindenfield
General Counsel & Head of Administration
Susannah joined PAI in 2025 as General Counsel and Head of Administration.
Susannah worked at Blackstone for 14 years, where she built and led the General Counsel function for APAC before moving to London as Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs for EMEA. She was most recently Head of Legal, International at PIMCO. She started her career at Cleary Gottlieb before joining KBC in London.
Susannah holds an LLB in English & French Law from King’s College London, a Masters in Private Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and an LLM in Comparative Law from McGill University.
Andreas Holtschneider
Partner, Mid-Market Fund
Andreas joined PAI in 2024 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team. He has significant experience in the mid-market, particularly in Germany, and in the industrial, healthcare and business services sectors. He has been involved in the VITREA investment.
Previously, Andreas worked at Cathay Capital Private Equity, where he was a Partner covering the DACH region since 2015. Prior to this, Andreas was a Principal at Silverfleet Capital and an M&A adviser at Ferber & Co in Munich and ING Barings in London.
Andreas holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.
David Mandeville
Investment Director
David joined PAI in 2022 as a member of the Investment Group and the UK Team. He has been involved in the Froneri and Theramex investments.
Prior to joining the Investment Group, David interned at PAI for one year. He previously spent five years working within the Food and Consumer sector, both as a consultant with Newton Europe, and as an Operations Manager with Oscar Mayer.
David holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics from the London School of Economics.
Maud Beldent
Investment Officer
Maud joined PAI in 2021 as a member of the Investment Group. She has been involved in the Alphia and The Looping Group investments.
She worked previously at Deutsche Bank in London, where she spent two years as an M&A Analyst in the Global Industrials Group, mostly focusing on Business Services.
Maud holds a double Master’s Degree from ESSEC and Bocconi.
Frederike Kress
ESG Officer
Frederike joined PAI in 2021 as a member of the ESG Team.
She was previously an intern at PAI within the ESG Team in Paris and Munich and has contributed to a number of projects for the firm.
Frederike holds a MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College London and a BSc in International Management from Lancaster University and ESB Business School Reutlingen.
