Michele joined PAI in 2020 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
He was previously at Digital Colony Partners where he worked as an Associate in the London Private Equity Team. Michele also brings three years of experience as an analyst for Credit Suisse.
Michele graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a MSc in Finance and a BSc in Finance and Economics. He also completed an exchange programme in France with HEC Paris.
He is fluent in English and Italian, and conversational in French.
Stefano joined PAI in 2005. In early 2020, he became one the founding partners of the Mid-Market Fund Team. Previously, he was responsible for investments in the Healthcare sector and as such has been involved in several transactions, most recently Zahneins, ELITechGroup, Ethypharm, Atos Medical, DomusVi and Cerba Healthcare. Outside of healthcare, he has been involved in the Kiloutou and Provimi transactions.
He started his career within the R&D department of France Telecom (now Orange) for three years, and then spent four years with McKinsey & Company in their Italian and Singaporean offices.
Stefano holds an MSc in Engineering from both Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Telecom Paritech (France), as well as an MBA from INSEAD. He is fluent in Italian, French, English and Spanish.
Jose joined PAI in 2020 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
He has extensive experience of the mid-market segment, having worked in the space since 2014, most notably at Abac Capital in Spain, where he was focused on the origination, execution, financing, monitoring and divestment of several deals.
Prior to that, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group as an Associate Consultant for two years.
Jose holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management (Boston) as well as a Bachelor’s Degree and a MSc in Business Administration from ESADE Business School (Barcelona).
He is fluent in Spanish, English and Catalan, and conversational in French.
Jacques-Henry joined PAI in 2020 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
He has extensive experience of the mid-market segment, having worked for 3i Group in Paris for the past two years, where he focused on the healthcare sector. Prior to that, Jacques-Henry worked for Astorg Partners for four years. In 2016, he co-founded Mori (formerly Cambridge Crops), a biotechnology company focused on agriculture applications based in Boston, USA, that he successfully sold in 2018.
Jacques-Henry is a graduate from EDHEC Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He is fluent in French and English.
Philipp joined PAI in 2016 as a member of the Germany and General Industrials teams, and was involved in the Armacell transaction. In 2020, he became Head of DACH in the Mid-Market Fund Team.
Philipp started his career at Bain & Company, where he worked for six years. He then joined Stone Tower Capital, a middle market buyout fund based in New York, before moving to AEA Investors in 2009. At AEA, Philipp was involved in several mid-market transactions in the industrial and service sectors in Germany and across Europe.
He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich in 2001 and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is fluent in German and English, and conversational in French.
Mateo joined PAI in 2020 as one of the founding partners of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
He has strong experience in the Spanish and international private equity markets, having previously been with Ventura Equity Partners, where he was a Founding Partner, and spent close to 12 years at Investindustrial, where he was a Senior Principal in the Spanish office and a member of the Investment Committee. He has also worked as an Investment Executive at Corsabe Capital and started his career in investment banking at Citi.
Mateo holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, and conversational in French.
Alessandro joined PAI in 2020 as a member of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
He has extensive experience of the mid-market segment having worked in the space since 2014, most notably at Alpha Private Equity, where he focused on a variety of transactions in the consumer, business services and industrials sectors. Prior to that, he worked at Chiaruttini e Associati, a leading advisory boutique specialised in turnarounds and restructurings.
Alessandro holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi, a specialisation in finance from the University of California San Diego and a degree in Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He is fluent in Italian and English, and has basic knowledge of Portuguese.
Raffaele joined PAI in 2002 as a member of the Italy Team and was involved in a number of transactions including Gruppo Coin, Marcolin, Saeco and The Nuance Group. In 2020, he became one of founding partners of the Mid-Market Fund Team.
Raffaele started his career in the Corporate Finance department of Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, London and Milan. In 1993, he became one of the Founding Partners of Vitale Borghesi & Co, which became part of the Lazard Group in 1998.
Raffaele graduated from Rollins College (USA) in Business Administration. He is fluent in Italian, English and French.
